Center For Architecture Sarasota Member Spotlight: Cheryl Gaddie

Siesta Key and Sarasota residents have known and respected Cheryl Gaddie for her years of design excellence with her CG Interior Design business and also for the time and talent she has shared with her community and her vibrant personality. While running her thriving business she also has chaired the Siesta Key Village Business Association and the Siesta Chamber of Commerce. This spring Cheryl volunteered to serve as Event Chair for the Center’s Modern Show, and it was tremendous success. Her business expertise and leadership skills are truly impressive, and her drive and sense of humor make working with her a joy. She motivated every donor and every volunteer to do their best-- and they did.

The astonishing side of this achievement was that at the same time she was chairing the Show, Cheryl was completing the final work toward her Master of Fine Arts degree in Interior Architecture and Design from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Not only was she chairing this major fundraising event in Sarasota, she was finishing her thesis and flying to and from San Francisco for her final reviews. Her hard work was rewarded and she now has another academic feather in her cap. May was a banner month for Cheryl (but we doubt she got much sleep).

Cheryl, you have our congratulations and our deepest respect and gratitude.
