Cheryl believes shaping a space enhances the quality of life and the human experience. Her design process involves critical thinking and focuses on open communication with clients to bring their vision to fruition. In addition to running her own design studio, Cheryl is devoted to community involvement. She is an adjunct professor of Interior Design at Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design, an active member of the Center for Architecture Sarasota and a former member of the Board of Directors for the North Dakota Museum of Art.

Cheryl received a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Interior Architecture & Design from the Academy of Art in San Francisco and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in business from the University of Mary in Bismark, ND. Cheryl began her career in the building industry and went on to start a retail home furnishing business that incorporated interior design in 1988.

Amid years of recognition for outstanding entrepreneurship & design, Cheryl received the 1997 SBA Phoenix Award. Local accolades include the Wolf & Sub-Zero Kitchen Design Award of the Southeast Region and Small Business of the Year from the Siesta Key Chamber of Commerce.

 

Cheryl opened her own interior design studio shortly after relocating to Sarasota, FL in 2004. With more than 25 years of experience, Cheryl’s broad portfolio includes successful projects in new construction, remodels, residential developments, private homes, commercial spaces, hospitality and medical facilities.
